Our program has a purposeful design, offering a balance between active and educational activities. We look at every activity and event as a chance for staff to build positive relationships with campers and encourage them to experience all God has for them in life- to live abundantly.

We hire counselors who have a fun, positive spirit, who are self-motivated, and understand the sacrifice needed to be strong Christian role models.

All campers are organized into two groups of mixed gender and age, through which they enjoy spirited competition throughout the session. The Waya tribe, represented by the wolf, and the Awahili tribe, represented by the eagle, are the tribes native to Strong Rock. Campers will become part of one of these tribes on the first day of camp and will remain with that tribe throughout their years at camp. A great deal of pride is associated with this tribal membership, and campers will develop close bonds with their fellow tribe members.

The majority of our facilities were constructed in 2004 with guest comfort in mind. Our cabins and meeting rooms are air conditioned/heated with restrooms in each room.
